Findings and practical limits
A technical assessment describes the areas examined, methods used and limitations. No inspection can guarantee that every device or form of surveillance will be detected. The scope depends on the environment and the resources appropriate to the concern.
Describe the environment and concern
Provide the type of premises, rooms or vehicles involved, recent changes and the reason for the review. Explain whether the concern involves a physical device, unexplained activity or possible information exposure. Site access and the agreed scope should be discussed before scheduling; available methods depend on the environment and the suspected issue.
Understand the inspection’s boundaries
A review addresses the agreed environment and conditions at the time of inspection. A negative finding is not a permanent assurance that a space cannot be monitored. Some concerns may require a separate cybersecurity or technical specialist. Findings should distinguish confirmed observations, items needing further examination and areas outside the inspection scope.
