Description
Desktop Investigators perform claims investigation utilizing various public record searches to compile results and prepare comprehensive investigative reports for submission. The ideal candidate will possess a sense of urgency, excellent verbal and written communication skills, intermediate computer skills, and sound judgment. This candidate must be a calm professional who works well under pressure, with colleagues and managers within the office and in the field.
Principal Responsibilities
- Performs claims investigation to include public records searches, record retrievals, facility canvasses, online inquiries, infinity searches, and skip trace referrals.
- Compiles results and prepares comprehensive investigation report for submission.
- Supports the organization's quality program(s).
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Individuals working the position of field investigator are performing stationary and mobile surveillance investigations of workers compensation claims, liability investigations, background checks, witness locates/interviews and other investigative services.
Principle Responsibities
- Thoroughly complete assigned cases
- Perform stationary, mobile and foot surveillance
- Testify to the collected facts obtained in any hearing or court of law as needed
- Audio interview claimants, insureds and witnesses
- Assist other investigators on challenging cases
- Make sound judgments both during the investigation and with future handling recommendations
- Turn in updates, evidence, and report in timely manner
- Upload surveillance video upon completion of investigation
- The nature of this job requires early hours and long days.
- The amount of driving can be extensive. This is to be considered when applying for this position.
- Extended overnight travel on a case by case basis
