Plan protection around the assignment
Executive protection inquiries begin with the person, schedule, locations and concerns involved. Global Intelligence Bureau reviews the requirements to determine the appropriate resources and operational plan.
Assignment scope
- Assessment of itinerary and relevant locations
- Coordination of personnel and communication needs
- Review of assignment-specific access and security concerns
Findings and practical limits
The plan sets out the agreed scope, responsibilities and coordination arrangements. Availability and licensing requirements are assessed for the locations involved. Staffing and protective measures are confirmed before the assignment.
Start with the itinerary and exposure
Provide the event or travel schedule, locations, people involved and the concerns motivating the request. The assignment can then be reviewed for staffing, coordination and practical requirements. Changes to the itinerary, access restrictions or other providers’ responsibilities should be identified early so the proposed scope reflects the actual environment.
Agree on responsibilities before deployment
Protection planning depends on the circumstances and the requirements of the jurisdiction. Acceptance, staffing and any specialized arrangements must be confirmed before deployment. No provider can eliminate every risk. A clear scope establishes the designated client contact, communication expectations and the responsibilities included in the assignment rather than implying an unlimited security commitment.
