Research to support counsel’s jury assessment
Jury pool research helps counsel assess relevant information about prospective jurors within an authorized scope. We define identifiers, sources and deadlines with the legal team before beginning.
Assignment scope
- Identifier review and public-record research
- Relevant publicly accessible online information
- Source documentation and careful record matching
Findings and practical limits
Research is presented for counsel’s assessment, with distinctions between confirmed facts and possible matches. The assignment must respect court instructions and applicable boundaries; juror contact is not assumed to be authorized.
Let counsel define the research question
Provide the court, proceeding, available identifying information and the specific public-record or publicly available information counsel needs assessed. Research should be focused on the agreed issues and reviewed against the applicable instructions before it begins. Potential identity matches require care where jurors or prospective jurors share common names.
Keep research distinct from juror contact
An online post or record may need context and corroboration before counsel can assess its relevance. Findings should identify the source and any uncertainty about attribution. This service does not imply authority to contact jurors, influence a panel or bypass court restrictions. Legal significance and any use in the proceeding remain matters for counsel.
