Gather accounts with clear source attribution
Interviews and recorded statements help clients clarify what a witness, insured or other source recalls. We prepare around the event, review available material and document the source’s account accurately.
Assignment scope
- Witness and insured interviews
- Recorded statements when authorized and appropriate
- Follow-up on timelines, locations and disputed facts
Findings and practical limits
Reports identify the speaker and separate the account from investigator observations. We record meaningful qualifications or uncertainty and retain relevant context. Scheduling, consent and the scope of questions are reviewed before the interview.
Prepare the issues and source material
Provide the interview objective, relevant documents, known contradictions and any questions the client needs addressed. Identify whether the person is a witness, insured, claimant or another source. An organized outline helps the interviewer clarify dates, locations and first-hand knowledge while allowing meaningful follow-up questions as the account develops.
Make the account reviewable
An interview report should distinguish the person’s statements from the investigator’s observations and identify unresolved questions. If a recorded statement is requested, recording arrangements and applicable requirements are reviewed before the session. A cooperative interview is not guaranteed, and an account remains an attributed statement until supported or contradicted by other information.
