Develop leads to locate a person
Missing person and locate assignments may involve a family member, witness, former associate or another person with whom contact has been lost. We review the circumstances, urgency and purpose before selecting an investigative approach.
Assignment scope
- Identifier and address-history research
- Witness and associate inquiries where appropriate
- Open-source leads and targeted field follow-up
Findings and practical limits
Reports explain which leads were developed and corroborated. A potential address is not treated as confirmed residency without supporting information. Contact or disclosure is assessed in light of the circumstances and privacy concerns.
Build a reliable starting timeline
Provide the last confirmed contact, known addresses, identifying photographs, aliases and information about prior searches. Distinguish confirmed events from rumors or unverified leads. A clear timeline helps focus records research, witness contacts and follow-up inquiries on what remains unresolved instead of repeatedly pursuing the same information.
Evaluate leads with care
An address or online account may be historical, unrelated or shared by another person. Leads require corroboration before they are treated as a current location. A private investigation does not replace an emergency response: immediate safety concerns should be directed to emergency services or law enforcement. Locating a person does not automatically determine what information may appropriately be disclosed.
