“When bail is given, the principal is regarded as delivered to the custody of his sureties. Their dominion is a continuance of the original imprisonment. The course is instructed by New York State–approved instructors, including a retired NYPD Detective and a veteran Bail Enforcement Agent with a combined experience exceeding 30 years in bail enforcement and fugitive recovery.
A Bail Enforcement Agent (BEA), also known as a Bounty Hunter, is defined as an individual or entity who, for compensation, apprehends individuals who have failed to appear on bond or bail and surrenders them to the appropriate jail or court, as defined by the New York State Department of State.
This course provides comprehensive instruction on the legal requirements, responsibilities, and operational standards necessary to operate as a Bail Enforcement Agent within New York State. Students will learn how to operate as part of a team and how to conduct a lawful fugitive investigation and recovery operation.
